Mobile County HOME Program

Buyers must participate in the Mobile County HOME program to purchase these homes on Marbel Road in Grand Bay. Buyer's who qualify will be eligible for up to $10,000 in down payment assistance and up to $30,000 in deferred mortgage. Buyer's may also be eligible for up to $8000 in tax credits.

Up to $10,000 of down payment assistance available. The Down Payment Assistance grant may be applied to a down payment and to closing costs. (A minimum of $1,000 in assistance is provided.)

You must be a first-time home buyer to participate in the Down Payment Assistance Program.  A first-time home buyer is a person who has not owned a residence for the past three years, with the exception of single parents who have divorced within the past three years.

Participants must also meet income requirements, and must be able to provide $500 in cash toward the purchase of the home.
